The Panhandle Groundwater Conservation District regularly participates in the legislative required Joint Planning Process and is active in Groundwater Management Area 1. For more information regarding meetings and how the process works please visit The Panhandle Water Planning Website here.
GMA 1 is currently in a 90-day public comment period regarding proposed Desired Future Conditions (DFCs). PGCD will hold a public hearing to receive public comments in person on May 14, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at the District's office. You may view the Draft Explanatory Report here.
